The 2008 Tribute to the Hermit is another vintage revealing a beautiful dark pomegranate color, with rich aromas of cherry and ripe blackberry, hints of fresh walnuts, almonds and delicious milk chocolate, and a remarkable minerality. The attack is soft, medium-bodied with sweet fruit and licorice, pepper and spice with subtle background oak and a lush herbal touch of crème de cassis with excellent balance that finishes smoothly on the palate. This wine can be enjoyed now, but will also keep another 7-10 years.
